I've started cycling into work - Ballinteer - City Centre over the past few weeks and have been using mr. highly's mountain bike. Now that I've actually been sticking to it, I need to get a bike of my own. Several people have recommended getting a hybrid and after trying 3 at lunch, the best one I tried was the Dawes Discovery 201.
Apparently there's a new model retailing at €355 but the older model, same bike but a gloss finish, is still in stock and is on sale for €270.00 - I asked for a further discount but he he said no, that that was the lowest he could go.
The other option was the Ecrotrek Citystar from Eurocycle/Eurobaby and the best price was €199.00.
Is anyone familiar with these bikes and what would you recommend?
