Just wondered if there is BIK implications for permanent health insurance? If so, what way does it work if the person themselves are paying the PHI, but the company intends giving them a cheque towards some of it?

I've been informed by a reliable source that, as per the link above, approved PHI schemes give rise to no BIK implications for the individual employees and that, in most cases, PHI providers already have prior approval for their schemes from Revenue.
