Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone knows the best way to shop abroad, USA. Taking commission and charges and transaction charges etc into account,
Are you better of changing cash and paying commission or loading up your credit card.
I know that the bank will charge you cross border handling fees on non euro credit card transactions. BOI 1.75% and AIB 2.75%, but do you get also charged again for the currency exchange, like an exchange commision?
Or is the exchange rate worse than you would get in the same bank if changing cash?
It may be very little, but I thinking of a large transaction.
Thanks If anyone knows.
