Best way to dispose of used cooking oil?

in these days of re-cycling just wondered how people dispose of used cooking oil?

most of the council run recycling deposts have "special days" once a month where you can bring the likes of used car oil,paint, some chemicals etc...
ring your local council and ask if they have a drop off point for cooking oils

could be a slippery subject

with a bit of effort you can use it to fuel your diesel vehicle

I used to bring it to the local "bring-centre", they had big barrels there where you just poured the old oil into...
 
Best way to dispose of used cooking oil.

Does anyone know what is the best way to dispose of used cooking oil. I have several 2litre bottles of the stuff and I dont want to just chuck them in the refuse bin? Any ideas?

If you are near a Civic Recycling Facility they take all motor & vegetable oils, no charge, check your local County Council website for details.
