Best wall colour to tone down floor?

Our laminate floor is nice but I feel the colour is slightly "orangey", does anyone know what colours would be good on the walls to counteract this. We definitely can't have anything red or yellow as that would just bring out the yellow tones in the floor. I like greens, pale blues, browns, eggplant shades but not sure if the last two would work with the floor. Any colour experts out there? Thanks.

Take a look at the "Mouse Painter" app on [broken link removed]. Try to find a colour that matches your laminate and see what looks well with it. Alternatively, drop into a paint shop and pick up a few sample cards.

There are loads of shades of browns, so experiment, I'd try color cards, then narrow it down and get paint samples. It depends alot on the room, but I'd say a light lime green could look great, top off with a few plants to bring out the green-ness, and bobs your uncle.
