Best Value LTV mortgage?

Hi,

Wondering if anyone has an opinion of what LTV is the best. We're starting a self-build and i reckon the LTV will be easily over 60% (although don't the banks quote the other way around, i.e. my mortgage will be at most 40% of the total value?), so I'd like to take advantage of the best rate available.
