Best value family car

Hi

My significant other is expecting our 2nd child. Need to buy one of those big space wagon thingy's.

Wondering which ones offer the best value. Was planning on spending about 11k. Was thinking of something like a picasso as they seem kinda reasonably priced. Would not like to go any older than 07

if only two kids, do you really need a space wagon yet, very expensive to purchase/tax/run as far as im aware.

have three kids, kia rio saloon, very affordable, cheap tax, mouse on diesel. only time we dont use it when goin on hols, husband's crewcab great for bringing bikes etc if in ireland, suitcases if abroad.

saying that if we hadnt crewcab, car would be managable at all times....
