I'm looking for somewhere to store my family photos and video. I'm not too concerned about costs, but want to be sure that these are backed up and retrievable in the future. Can anyone advise?
Thanks I'll check those. Specifically interested in backup & recovery of photos though. Want somewhere online (as well as local copies) where I can store them safely for life.
I use pix.ie to store & share photos. It's free and stores photos in original size (unlike flickr), but it's provided "as is" with no warranty, so not a guaranteed backup.
I also use mozy.com/home to backup files (including photos). You pay a monthly subscription. Note that this is a backup solution, not an archive solution. If you delete a file locally, it will be removed from the backup 30 days (I think) later.
