Best guide book for South of France

Friend is flying in to Marseille, has car booked and will spend two week visiting Nice, Cannes, Monaco etc.

I would like to get them a guide book with a decent map and good recommendations for places to visit, accommodation reviews, restaurant reviews etc.

Has anyone found any guide that they though was particularly good?

Hi Vontrapp,

Going to Cote d'Azur in September - what would you recommend? I'd prefer to stay in smalller towns and use the car to visit the big towns on day trips. Ideally would like to stay by the beach too, too make up for recent Vitamin D deficiency! Villefrance sur mer is the one everyone mentions - any others you came across?
