Best dial up or broadband option

Hi

I've just bought a laptop for my parents and would like to get
them connecting to the internet

I live in England so am a bit out of touch on any deals in Ireland

My parents phone line is with Eircom.
Really their usage of the internet will be very light and limited to email
and some web searches.

Therefore I think dial up would probably be enough for their needs
but I'd be interested in finding out the best deals around and deciding from there

Any guidance on where to look this up ?

Just create a connection in your Internet Explorer to 1892 150 150. this is the Eircom dial up number, its about 1 cent per minute off peak I think. Its what I use anyways.

You dont need a username or password or anything like that. It should work straight away.
 
stick with the dial up if it is going to be very light otherwise take a look at www.imagine.ie for the cheapest broadband here but they make u use their telephony services aswell but these are cheaper than eircom anyway
