Hi,

anyone any suggestions as to what are the best desktop pc deals out there at the moment. I have checked out Argos, Sound store, Harvey Norman, and PC World.

I think PC Worlds Desk top Compac with Amd duo 2.8 duo processor, 3 g ram, 1 terrabyte HD, 20 inch monitor at 499 is the best I have seen, at 449 (no wifi though, which is a pity)

Has anyone seen better, please let me know.


( By the way Argos was next best, with their Medion and Acer pcs.)
 
I would go online and buy and for £305/€358 delivered (without an OS).

If you prefer the PC World deal, or some other bricks and mortar store, you can get a wireless adapter for under a fiver from [broken link removed].

Just by the bye — in fact I ended up buying a new PC myself in the sales, but for a specific purpose (as a HTPC). should be arriving in the post any day now, and am looking forward to playing around with it.

However, it probably wouldn't suit you if you're looking for a general-purpose PC. No DVD drive, no monitor, great for streaming media but no good for gaming, etc.
