Best deals for flights to Phuket in Dec/Jan?

Hi,
I'm planning a trip from Dublin to Phuket from Dec 29th - Jan 10th.
I want to avoid Bangkok. The best deal I've seen so far is with Singaporeair, 2 stops (Frankfurt, Singapore) for €1381.
Just wondering if anyone knows any better deals ?

Have a look at www.skyscanner.net. It will scan through most airlines for the best price.

You are looking at peak travel time for Thailand. www.itasoftware.com shows the cheapest as being €1504 with Malaysian via Heathrow and Kuala Lumpur.

Personally I will never fly Malaysian agin, my experiences left me wondering how they managed to get a good reputation but I guess everyone has a bad flight or six!

A hint is to try British based sites like travel supermarket and get a fare from the UK and then look after your own flight to either Heathrow or Gatwick.
