I have got a few pairs of (discontinued?) Kartel chinos on sale (in the Warehouse on Talbot St.) recently and am happy with them.

The Dockers I got in the US were much more comfortable than any pair of Dockers I have bought over here.

I would recommend the ubiquitous Dockers chinos. I have hada few Ralph Lauren chinos but always found them too baggy and not worth the extra cost compared to Dockers. I have tended to stock up on chinos and such like on trips to the US (much cheaper and better quality) If you are going to the US check out Brooks Brothers (various stores on East Coast)
