Best broadband for me?

I have an Eircom phone. I find it very expensive especially as I use the internet a lot. I need broadband, and need to find the best deal. If the deal was good enough I would ditch Eircom. Any help and advice would be appreciated. Being 63 years old, I am naturally not a "teckie"

I have moved this thread to the I.T., Broadband and Digital Cameras forum as

(a) it will get more response in this forum; and
(b) the 'Best Buys' forum is really only for financial products (at this stage anyway)
 
seanmac50-I suggest you browse this forum, there are many discussions about the best value broadband provider.

If you want further information, you may want to check out the Broadband forum on www.boards.ie and also have a read of this thread.

The options available to you will depend on where you live.
 
http://www.getbroadband.ie is a good place to compare offerings.

Presuming you will want to keep a landline, and depending on your typical 'phone usage, it usually makes sense to 'bundle' the lot with one provider, and opt for online billing.
