Does anyone else think it is obscene that the state spends on average €550 per week on Berties grooming (as reported intodays Indo.) When the Health Service is falling apart, school children are being taught in rat-infested schools and the road infrastructure here is stuck in the last century how can he justify this?

I believe it is obscene. How much is a red nose and some white paint anyway?

No, the health service has never had more money invested in it as it does at the moment, the road infastructure has never had more money invested in it, the school system.... you know where i'm going with this.

Berties grooming bill

I read the title and assumed that our Taoiseach was inveigling a former US president into indulging in some illegal act of perversion.

No longer to be called Max factor

it is €550 spent on "infacta" lotion and creams

Is it true a government spokeman said
"The Taoiseach had no knowledge of this payment.
He cannot be expected to do a FAS course in hairdressing and beauty care.
Besides dem who are dere to regulate his beauty care failed in this one incident.
Heads will roll...into retirement and a fat pension.
Others will find themselves transferred to a beauty salon near you.
Besides a report by the Gardai discovered NO wrongdoing took place.
And finally, a party investigation found the work was done on time and within budget"

Oh please don't let this blow up into a Tribunal. VIP Magazine would end up providing the most in dept hard hitting analysis. Off The Rails would end up getting Vincent Browns radio spot and doing reconstructions from the Tribunal.

If anyone thinks 30K a year on grooming is the biggest waste of money this government is involved in think again. That 30K can be covered by the change that falls down the backs of the seats in the Cabinet Room.
