Berlin restaurants and bars

My husband asn i are going to Berlin for a 2 night break in Dec. We are staying in Winer Mitte.
Has anyone any recommendations on where to eat/drink.
We are in out late 20s and not looking for mad nightlife but good foor reasonable priced and a nice atmosphere.

I cannot give you any particular recommendations (though I am sure others will, so no worries there) but I just wanted to say that Berlin is probably the cheapest place food-wise in all of Western Europe. Selection is massive, competition between restaurants murderous and prices thus very low. Kebabs start around €1 and you can get a decent one for €2. A meal at a good restaurant will obviously cost more than that but you will be getting equally good value for money.
