Benefactor for charity fundraiser

I am interested in doing a challenge with a registered charity

My partner has offered to do some fundraising for me with a view to donating funds from the charity night to the charity on my behalf gaining the benefit of 42% top up via tax - i would not be in a position to do this myself

Any advice appreciated
