Hi Folks,

I'm just wondering if anyone out there is in the process of purchasing in Churchwell Rise from the last DCC draw back in April or whenever it was.

I've just been onto DCC to request my Confirmation to Lender letter (for the 3rd time!) and have found out there has been an issue with the numbering of the apartments and the apartment I chose (and paid my booking deposit on) may not be the one I end up getting, or in the event I dont get this one the price may differ.
I can't get a proper explanation as to why I would have to pick another apartment if it's just a case that the numbers on the doors are different....sounds like a bit of a smoke-screen to me!!

Just wanted to throw a shout out in case anyone out there who might be at the same stage as me and doesn't know about this.....as I only heard when I rang up to see where my Confirmation to Lender letter was.....another example of the transparency of the whole AH scheme!!!

Hi,

Wondering if your numbering issue has been sorted - also delaying mine !

Hi Karie,
Just to let you know the issue was sorted but I've since backed out of the purchase. Not sure if you've heard the developer seems to be in a spot of financial bother and the proposed Town centre and all the infrastructure that was going into the Belmayne development has ground to a halt and won't be happening apparently.
This was announced at a DCC meeting a couple of weeks ago and it was in the Irish Times the week before last....so I felt it best to just make the decision to back out. Have a look at balgriffin.com...there are a lot of posts on that about the state of the development....to satisfy my own curiousity I popped down the Fri before last and there was nothing going on. Not a sinner on site....so it's not looking good.
In saying all that I got onto DCC and explaned the situation, they were happy enough and will put me back in for the next draw so thats something.....I've since been told they have another apt to offer me in Fairview as I'm fully mortgage approved. So if you do decide to back out there may still be light at the end of the tunnel.
Best of luck,
