Beko TV no control's

I need to change over the wii in the house from my lcd to an older Beko TV in another room as kids taking over the lcd on me.
Now the Beko works find for TV but when I went to connect the wii using the scart lead which now has inserted into the 3 color cables into the Beko TV nothing comes on the TV.
I have no controls for this TV but I thought if I take out the tv cable from back of TV and have Wii connected that it would automatically find the Wii.I can't get the AV chanel as I have no controls, any advice.I don't want to get new controls if I can help it.

Is there a button on the front or under a fold down cover with a symbol looking like a circle with an arrow pointing into it? It sometimes has av written beside it. Try pressing this a few times with the wii turned on,it will cycle through the available scarts and other external connections until you get to the scart that's connected to the wii.
