Bear watching in Canada

Hello,
My husband and I were surfing the net last night getting ideas for our holiday next year and we came across sites for bear watching in Canada.
The scenery and the whole experience looks to be amazing.

I would like to hear the opinions of people who have experienced a holiday like this.
 
Could you get travel insurance to cover you in the event of an attack (by a bear)?
 
Travelled to Vancouver and up to Banff, Lake Louise etc a few years ago. On our travels we saw 4 bear literally walking along the roadside, Moose etc. Well worth the trip. Vancouver is a really lovely spot. Go for it.
 
yep. Spent a week in whistler one summer about 6 years ago. Watched bears every day while having lunch in the hotel. Bears used to come down at night and were a bit of a nuisance but well worth seeing. Couple of tourist fools in the hotel started chasing the bears after a few drinks and the warden was going to shoot them ( the bears not the fools, though he should have just shot the drunks)
