Bay Window Curtain Poles

we have an almost identical room...in cork also. You can buy plastic rails that will actually bend with the corner. Gentle heating of them helps this..ie with a hair dryer. They can bend such that a fitting can be 11 inches from the wall in each direction if you get what i mean. So one of our curtains when open actually wraps back around the corner. works perfectly.

Im not really clear, but is it expensive to fit rather than the actual POLE being expensive ? The reason I ask is that we have a full bay window and used a curtain pole & it wasnt expensive;
We got a carpenter friend to cut (mitre) the poles at the angles, cut a small slot into which he inserted a piece of hardwood, glued and pinned the join, and from there it was DIY. ie screw the brackets to the wall etc. There is no strain on the join as there are brackets on each side of it. Sorry if i'm making it sound complicated but it worked well and wasnt expensive.

Yup, I've a bay window, did a DIY job with wooden curtain poles. Fairly easy.

Tiger was yours a full bay window I think its easier if its a full window as opposed to half a bay window
I was in getting curtains in a curtain shop at the weekend and the girl in the shop said that curtain rails for half a bay window are really expensive.

Legend where did you get the pastic rail....

Yes it was a full bay window, but I don't see the difference. You get the poles in different lengths & join/cut them as appropriate?

A few years ago we got a metal one custom made for our full bay and it was a lot less expensive than I had expected (sorry can't remember how much). The guy came and put it up an all. Look for someone in your area that does specialist wrought iron work.

PS is you go that route a little bit of vaseline and they slide like a marble on ice!
