Hi,

We are building a bathroom extension on to the back of the house on the ground floor. Does the bathroom have to be wheelchair accessible?

Thanks

I wouldn't think it was compulsory, but anything that increases the options available to a potential future buyer must be sensible.

Hi Bigfoot,
I'm assuming you had to get planning permission for the extension... Best bet would be to run it by your local planning office & see what they say.

I agree completly with BillK... If it doesn't cost too much just do it...
and if any future renovation grants etc. come in offering money but requiring wheelchair accessability (like rural/urban renewal) you are already 1 step closer.
