Which is better ? I'm installing a new electric shower which will face directly onto the side of the bath ie not over the taps iykwim.
I have a choice of a concertina folding bath screen or a curved shower rail, really don't know which would be better.
I'm wary of the bath screen, knowing they can be a nuisance similarly so can a shower curtain, anyone any opinions ??
TIA

Learn about the Bernoulli effect: it means that a shower curtain will be sucked towards you. Get a screen.

I think a lot depends on the size or possibly orientation of your bathroom. I have a v small bathroom and a screen would have just divided the room in half and made it look smaller. Instead I got a reasonably heavyweight shower curtain (think it was a fiver in Dunnes) and it's grand - and it doesn't get stuck to your legs (I think that may be more of a factor with a shower tray than a shower over a bath).

Screens are a pain to clean but are much better than having a shower curtain stickin to ya.. I have a free standing shower ie. not a bath/shower combo and it still stuck to me!

Maybe I wasn't clear, I have a shower-over-a-bath and the shower curtain does not stick to me. I think the problem may be more common with free-standing showers like yours.

Ah sorry. So the OP's situation is a bath/shower and so wouldnt have that stuck on effect!

The folding screens are the best option if you go down this route. My sister in laws parents had one of those type of shower curtain rails and it worked great for them, although theirs looped around the full way from one wall, in a semi circle, to the other wall.

Have been using them for years and find them great. The only thing I find is that after time the beading around each door can get dirty and can't be accessed. Because of this I need to get another one but am looking for white. That's a great price because I've seen them up to nearly €200. Trust Smashbox to find a bargain
