I nearly fell off my chair. 400 euros to cover 75 metres of ground? (equivalent to 100 bags) I am convinced there are cheaper suppliers out there. I'm located in limerick if anyone has suggestions.

Now I know there are different types of barkmulch and I wnat the bark, which is dark and looks ok as opposed to the ordinary wood chips (which looks brighter and stands out - looks cheap)

€400 / 100bags = €4 per bag

To be honest I think that's about as cheap as you are going to get it! Try Crann na Mona (in Galway but deliver nationwide) to see if they can give you a quote

Cheapest way to buy this is in bulk, not bagged. I often see ads. in the local press for horticultural suppliers/ landscapers who will deliver in bulk.

1 cubic metre covers 15 sq. metres approx at 50mm depth, so you would need 4-5 cubic metres, in wicklow this costs about 50 euros per metre delivered, so 400 does sound a bit steep

u can get it from the green recycle centre in esker on the lucan rd in Dublin.

if there's a green recycle centre in the south u could try them - see prices below - how do they rate
