barcelona to mairselles

hey there, going away for a week mid-feb, thinking of flying into barcelona and getting train up to Marseilles, then departing from there. has anyone done this trip? Or working from Milan down to Marseilles, would this be too far for one week? Not too bothered about hot weather, just less rain than here and a little warmer.

apologies for posting again, I know its not proper AAM etiquette. I noticed a spelling mistake ini marseille. Thinking now of Milan to Marseille by train. Is this do-able in a week by train, stopping off at a couple of places along the way? Thanks in advance, C
