Banned in error

I recommended to a friend to register as they were looking for advice. They got a message yesterday that their registration was to be approved and then this morning a message that they were banned when they hadn't posted anything! Not sure how they are supposed to contact administrator.

What can they do?

The Contact button on the bottom of the page? Can they access that?

There are occasionally false positives and they do manage to contact us.

But you can send me their user name if they can't access the Contact Us page.
