I received a call from my old bank stating that they had been submitting incorrect information to the ICB regarding an old loan I once had with them. Continued posting the loan as unpaid and outstanding when it no longer had been for a significant time.
Any idea what rights I have in this instance?
I had a loan refused in the last year on the basis of my credit rating. Presumably because of this.
Is there any come back?

Submit a correction request. And wait for response from bank via the ICB. It may have been an ‘administrative error ‘.

You can also submit a separate formal complaint to the bank and outline your contention that this affected your future lending ability. If you are not happy with their resolution - you can progress matter to www.fspo.ie

also submit a gdpr data protection act request and get a copy of all records held by the bank. You might find something interesting - if they actually release any relevant records
