Got bank shares (one of the four main banks) a few years ago as a gift. Eddie Hobbs was on the radio during the week suggesting that if you had any you dump them immediately. Is this the best course of action or should I just sit on them and hope they'll come round some bit in 5-10 years? If I sold at the moment they would be worth about €500 less whatever I'd get charged by the broker to sell them.
