bank refusing morgage becuase no insurance

Recently got morgage approval but can not get morgage protection was told that i could could sign a waiver but the bank refused this, does anyone now can ye go further about this or will another bank accept a waiver. thanks

Banks differ in their policy on this one, a waiver is allowable from a legal point of view if you fit the criteria but if the bank's policy is not to lend on that basis then thats their choice. Try around the other banks, trouble is the one that will take a waiver may not be lending at the moment.

Have you tried all the different life companies on the market? Underwriting decisions can vary between companies. There is also a specialist life company called pulse on the market that offer cover to people who can't find cover elsewhere (the terms of their policies can be quite short however).
