Bank pays a SO despite instructions not to.

As above, I asked the AIB to stop a standing order normally paid each Friday. I gave them 7 days notice in writing and they ignored the instructions.

How can I get them to comply with the instructions.

try the bank again. call into them if you must. if you don't succeed contact IFSRA.

I got onto them, they basicaly denied ever getting the original letter. Typicial in my experience of banks.

All sorted now!

possibly like prime time last wek, but in reverse. they had cases documetned where the bank typed up a letter, never posted it to the account holder and when s***t hit fan, simply showed copy to customer who naturally, could nto find or recall it. Either way, the customer loses!
