Bank Draft to brother-Can I Lodge?

My brother owes me money and wants me to lodge a bank draft (made out to him) to my account as part payment.

What is the problem with him lodging the bank draft to his own account and then doing an online transfer to yours? (Assuming that he has a functioning bank account that is....)

He's out of the country and the draft is here and will expire before he returns. Do you think I could lodge it to his account?

Don't see why not. It's made payable to him and you are lodging it to his account.
