Bank Draft refunds

Hi,
I got a bank draft for a friends wedding this time last year. I then thought that i lost it or threw it out. So i went and got a different one for a little less (stingey i know!). Doing a clean up during the week and i found the bankdraft that i thought was lost, just wondering if i can reclaim this back as it came from my own account with AIB and was never given to its intendant recipient??

Yes. Go into your bank on Monday and they will credit it back to your account after doing a few checks to make sure it hasn't been claimed on.

You will just have to sign an indemnity that if the bank draft ever turns up you are liable.

there should be no problem returning the draft to your bank,the bank will be able to check that the draft was drawn on your account and it will be no problem lodging back to your account,hope this helps
