Bang CD - review?

Bang CD was mentioned last year on AAM. There was tentative praise for the prices and delivery.
I wonder if anyone has any more up to date experiences ordering from BangCD? I ordered some CDs - the price was c 1.50 per CD cheaper than CDWow. However, the estimated date of shipment given in the follow up email was for a whole week from now.
I'm interested in hearing about more recent buying experiences from BangCD if anyone cares to share.

I was one of the sceptics back then but I have ordered some (not a lot) from them and everything went well.

Thanks guys.
That's put my mind more at ease.
Will watch the post. :)

I still bounce back and forth between Bang and CDWow depending on price and availability. CDWow generally have a better selection, and sometimes are cheaper. (I'm using the UK site and saving on currency transaction rather than CDWow.ie which is often more expensive).
CDWow CD cases are sometimes damaged (not since they changed the packaging) but quicker delivery than Bang usually.

I agree with Microsquid - I also switch between bang and cdwow as there are decent savings to be made sometimes. I got a CD from CDbang yesterday which I ordered as a pre-release - it was due out 13 Nov and I ordered it 10 October - a bit slow in my opinion. but for normal deliveries and orders, I can't complain about either of them.

To follow up on my initial query, I am pleased to say my order from BangCD was delivered today intact. The curious thing is that the order arrived one day ahead of the estimated date of shipment provided by Bang in the initial email, and two days after the notification of shipment email.

I would often check prices on CDWow, Bang and Play. I had noticed slight differences in prices. This is the first time I've ordered anything from Bang, because the saving was greater
.
The box indicates it was sent by Singapore Post. Surely this can't be true in reality? It takes longer than that to get a letter delivered in this country!

don't forget www.cdworld.ie microsquid, sometimes they're cheaper than both cdwow & bang. And they deliver in only 3 days, for me anyway ive ordered over 30 cd/dvd from cdworld and the longest period i ever had to wait was 5 days but usually 3 days:)

BTW anybody know how to stop cdwow emailing me with promos brfore i email them i can't cope with 1 a day.

Sn@kebite, there should be an opt out either on the emails they send you or on the site itself. My sister got fed up with it and opted out. She hasn't had one since.

Bang had good value but their prices seem to have increased sharply in the last couple of weeks.
I had noticed the Scissor Sisters CD at €8.80 last week, today it is €10.50.
Still cheaper than the High Street but quite a jump pre-Christmas.

and dont forget to use vouchers for cd-wow, easily found on internet.
and check the price in HK dollars, very often a lot cheaper. And use a referral company, it all adds up.
have fun
