Ballysodare, Sligo - quarry and cement factory?

I am looking at a house in Ballysodare, Sligo. Very close to it there seems to be a cement factory next to an open quarry. Does anyone know if this could cause problems - discharge into the ground / affecting water supplies / dust in the air, etc.?

Any advice appreciated.

Check the EPA website www.epa.ie It may have an integrated pollution control license. Also the council is likely to have information about its performance. May want to consider noise and vibration due to blasting, blasting frequency etc
