Balloon ride

Hi There,
My boyfriends' folks bought him a voucher for a baloon ride for his 30th birthday. It had a years expiry, near the end of the expiry date he rang the company to book in for the ride. When he rang the company, he got a voice message stating that the company was closed and would reopen in a month , I think it was Dec and probably the weather was too bad.
Now the voucher is out of date, does any one know if people have any rights when it comes to out of date vouchers?

Why not ring them when they reopen and expalin the siutation and i'm sure they'll honour the voucher.

I got the balloon voucher from probably the same crowd,
voucher went out of date and I posted it back to them
asking for another valid voucher even offering to pay a
little extra for the inconvenience to them....never heard
a thing back and that was over a year ago

If the company closed for a month Im sure you are entitled to an extra month on your voucher.

When will people stop giving vouchers as presents. They are such a rip off. It is maddening that they will not honour them. They have had the use on the money for that time to aid their cash flow and they should be bending over backwards to facilitate people.
