Does anyone travel this daily or know how long it would take if I were to be in Dun Laoghaire by 7am?? (or 8am for that matter!!) What is the best route?

The ARROW train?

Leave at 06.17, get there for 07.38, changing at Connolly.

Or direct, leaving at 06.47 and get there for 07.51.

I left Balbriggan on Tuesday morning at 6.20am and got through the toll bridge at 7.04. There was a fair bit of traffic. After that I went on the N7 so can't tell you how long the rest of the journey to Dun laoghaire would take.

On a traffic free day, toll bridge to dun laoire exit takes about 15 minutes. In the morns theres a small bit of traffic from the toll to red cow but I find that moves quickish. Theres that much traffic once you past the red cow roundybout so Id give yourself 25-30 mins from toll to DL.
Month by month for the past few years Ive found you gotta leave the house that few minutes earlier to make it over the M50 in the same time, so whereas say a year ago if you were on the M50 by 7ish you had a good run, now its 6:30 to get the same.
