Am flipping mad.
Applied for a First Active CC in Sept. 07 stating in the covering letter that I only wished for First Active to proceed in opening a new account if I qualified for the full balance transfer from Ulster Bank to First Active. I even attached my most recent Ulster Bank CC statement along with the other documents requested. I subsequently rang at the end of Sept for a progress report and was told it had been approved and the balance transfer would take 2 weeks.
However, today I received my normal Ulster Bank bill with no balance transfer. When I contacted First Active they said that they and Ulster Bank were all part of the same bank - Natwest/ Bank of Scotland and that I couldn't transfer balances between their own banks. The Customer Services Team Leader said all she could do was ask the New Customer accounts tomorrow.
Am after wasting 2 months of my time paying credit card interest because of their flipping incompetency.
Any thoughts?
