Hi,
My baby son has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia and will require surgery followed by a body cast for a number of months. We expect his treatment to begin in the next few weeks.
I am self employed (have been for 10 years) and work on average 2 days per week with quite low earnings (<15k). My husband is in full-time employment, earning in the region of 33k per annum. We have a mortgage.
Once my son's cast is on, I will have to stay at home with him for the duration, so therefore I wont be working again until his cast is removed.
My question is, could we qualify for any financial support for the time I am taking off work to look after him?
Thanks in advance...
