Hi did a search on this but couldnt see what i am looking for... hope someone can help

I am thinking of getting solid oak wooden floor boards from B & Q. Has anybody ever used them and are they worth getting?

Thanks

Maybe not much help but we bought solid oak boards (130mm X 18 mm) for out bathroom floor from a local company here in England. Cost was in the order of £50 (sterling) per square metre.
Company was called Heritage Woods.

Thought it might be handy to have some idea of cost.

I had a look at B&Q solid floors, but
1- the pieces are relatively short (between 300 & 900mm long for the one i was looking at)
2- i don't think their wooden floor are particularly well priced
3- i thought the quality is mediocre, e.gs looks plasticky even though their are solid wooden floors

Ended up buying solid oak in Brooks. Pieces between 300 and 1200mm
Typical box i got was made of 8 times (1200mm + 700mm + 350mm) * 125mm width. A box is 2.2sqm. I think it was €24 yd² (during their sales!)

Price isnt something that i have yet looked at. I just saw the B& Q ones and thought that they were ok but after what bacchus has said i think that i may look elsewhere
thanks
