Average wait for top up?

Hi,

What is the average wait for a mortgage top up. It has been 8 weeks since we applied and we have been told that we MAY have the money by the end of the week

are you with Ulster Bank by any chance? my friend is waiting ages for hers. I'm with first active and had mine in 7 working days but it wasn't a huge amount and pretty straightforward.
 
It could be down to so many things -

a) your broker delayed sending in the application
b) an incomplete application received
c) further information was required
d) delay with your life/fire

and so on.......

You should really ask your lender what is causing the delay and then see what can be done to speed up the process.
 
Thanks for the replies-they was no missing info or anything and yes it is the UB!
 
I'm finding Ulster Bank's service awful these days - I reckon they over-stretcehd their resources with their offer of €1,000 for switching.
