AVC PRSA

A friend of mine hopes to retire 2 years ahead of the retirement age set by the employer's pension scheme. He doesn't want to suffer actuarial reduction by drawing his employer fund earlier, than allowed by the scheme, so he's prepared to leave his employer and wait 2 years for his full pension

Instead he's wondering whether he can access his AVC PRSA Fund separately, ahead of drawing his employer's pension in 2 years time. ie live off his AVC Funds which are significant?

Can't do that. The PRSA AVC is linked to his main employer pension and is to be drawn down at the same time. He can't access it before the main scheme.
