Avast free anti-virus software

I am presently downloading the above to replace my current AVG anti-virus software (Avast was highly recommended by Which?).

The problem I have is that I had configured Outlook Express to send and receive through AVG and now that I have uninstalled it I cannot send/receive any mail.

Does anyone know how I can reconfigure it for Avast. I can't contact Alwil Software (they provide Avast) as my email won't work. Any ideas?

You might be better off to reconfigure Outlook Express for your ISP mail (check out the help pages on your ISP) and once it is working again, then install Avast and configure the Avast proxy.
