Automatic Car Recommendations

Hi, my sister is looking for an automatic car. The best she has come across in her research is a Toyota Prius. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for this or others or can direct me to a good comparison web article that may help.

Did a search for this topic and could not find similar so hopefully I haven't missed it already being addressed.

VW and Ford both do excellent medium sized automatics that give better MGP than a Prius.
 
I agree. My wife had an automatic Polo, and automatic Focus. Both great,
 
I forgot...she also had an automatic Megane (saloon) that was so-so.

auto corolla rather than the prius go forever without the weight of all those batteries.

Got some feedback on the battery in the Prius - some ppl have been unlucky from reading some articles on the web- can be costly to replace the battery if you cannot claim within warranty.
