Can anyone recommend a garage that could do some work on an A3 for me pls?
Im on the Northside (Dublin)
I need new glass for my wing mirror and the motor in the drivers electric window is kaput. The AA guy who came out told me to avoid the main dealers if possible as it cots a fortune, he said a good mechanic should be able to look at it. But I dont know any!
Thanks

Try -
Baldoyle Auto Centre,
unit 138,Baldoyle ind estate
ph -01 8321045
Ritchie will look after you.
I can highly recommend them.

basically i had to ring the AA cos I couldnt physically get the window to close at all - and at the time we were having the very heavy rain
car would have been destroyed.

May not be the motor...could be the lifting arm. I'v had both lifting arms go in A3. When you tried to close the window, did it go up momentarily before falling back down again? then its the lifting arm. An Audi replacement arm costs about E100 before labour. Pain in the ass all in all.

This also happens on the Golf. Probably the same mechanism.
