Audi A4 Brakelight Problems

Does anyone know of any issues with 2005 Audi A4s where the brake lights come on all by themselves without anyone near the car.The only way to clear the problem is to go out & press the brake pedal - the only problem is they come back on again after some time.
There is a 3 week wait time for the dealer to look at it, by which time I will have a flat battery.
 
Sounds like a problem with the brake pedal switch. It's a little spring under the brake pedal, to return the pedal to the correct position.

I had to replace one one a VAG car before - it was very cheap (maybe €2 or €3) and I was able to replace it myself.
 
We replace brake light switches for sport on the german stuff.
 
Also the brakelights being on continuously while driving affects the engine managment system. It thinks! that you want to stop all the time Get it investigated as soon as you can.
 
Went direct to management at the local dealer who fast-tracked the repair.As ye said - it was a faulty brake switch all right !
