Audi A3 1.6 diesel

Looking to buy one of these in the near future. Can anyone recommend where to get one as reasonably priced as possible?

It's the 1.6 diesel I'm looking for which came out in 2009 I think.

I've looked on Ebay & Autotrader UK/IE and the prices vary greatly.

Also any buying tips would be appreciated.
 
I would buy the skoda octavia same engine get the elegance model.

Save a fortune or go up a year or 2.
 
The Octavia is bland - similar to Passat.

Another thought - when the motor tax reforms are implemented next year - possible reversion to old system - the annual motor tax will be higher on a 2.0 than a 1.6 regardless of the emissions level.
 
All the VAG cars are bland A3 included. The skoda is better equipped than most of the vw's or audi's

320 d coupe msport then. lowest tax 6 speed gearbox highest power output for engine and great fuel economy.

TT, CLS, A5, R8, S models, Allroad bland...please sir...what DO you drive ?

I think the A3 is the nicest car in it's class. Great design that has only been tweeked in the last 9 years. Well built and an upmarket presence. I think BMWs are a better car overall but think the A3 is better than the 1 series.
 
Fair point but the OP mentioned a 1.6 diesel A3 not any of the high end beauties you mentioned.
