The written contract signed between the Auctioneer and the vendor will have all that information in it....or it should do anyway. The contract will have expired long before the 18 months I know but it should still have a guideline re advertising etc...which is where the biggest expense would be.Does anyone know what happens if a house has been on the market for 18 months, hasn't sold, and the vendor decides to take it off the market in order to let it instead? Any guidelines / advice on approx. how much the vendor should expect to have to pay the auctioneer? The house was advertised on the auctioneers website and this was accessible also through daft.ie. Thanks.
Then it will have to be a gentleman's agreement....hope I have the correct gender.Well in this case the vendor (i.e. me) has seen no contract, nor was there ever any mention of one!
Thanks for all replies so far. I emailed the auctioneer the day before yesterday to ask if there had been any viewings in the past three months....and to request details of costs if I decide to take house off the market but have yet to receive a response. Any rough estimate of what I should expect him to charge if he is looking for advertising expenses only (no ads in newspapers, just online as far as I am aware)? I suspect he may also expect to charge for facilitating a few viewings as well...
In general the only 'fees' are the advertising costs.
