Attending Election Count

Just wondering if it is possible for members of the public to attend an election count, or do you need a pass of some sort?

AFAIK, anyone can attend. I certainly have wandered in on occasions to watch the fun. Great blood sport!

You'll need a pass to get into the actual area where the count is happening but the outside area is a free for all.

In Kerry, they are very strick on the morning on the pass thing but as the day goes on they don't care. Most people are swapping them anyway so they're buddies can get in
