Attaching garage to house alarm

Hi there,

Having just completed building our garage i was wondering how easy/difficult it is to wire the garage to the house alarm?

Obviously we want this done as soon as possible before we place anything of any significant value in it.

The guy that installed our house alarm as since gone out of business and i was wondering if i could do this myself or is it only for a qualified electrician?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Its simply a matter of getting a cable from the nearest existing zone.
