ATM card in the US

well i am off to the big US of A next (first time outside Europe )

Just wondering will my BOI ATM card work, it has a maestro and cirrus and has worked all over Europe!
I dont want to bring cash nor use my VISA to withdraw cash

I probably need to ring the bank but just thought i would stick it up here see if anybody knows

Yes, Cirrus works in the US but there is a min charge of €3.17 per transaction, because you are in a different currency zone. In the Euro currency zone there is no extra charge.
If you really want to get your cash this way make sure you take at least €100 worth at a time as you will be charged the min charge anyway for each tx.
 
It will work in 'most' machines.I'm in Texas at the moment and have had some difficulty in accessing cash using the ATM card.
Just don't leave it till you're out of cash.
